How this began
When I decided I wanted to pursue law, one thing that stuck out to me was the lack of information for people without resources or connections in the legal field. This website was created with nearly 100 responses to a survey catered to undergraduates, high schoolers, and current law students who want to learn more about careers in the law, the LSAT, law school applications and more. Here is what they had to say:
93% of responders said they will be the first in their family to attend law school
When asked to rate on a scale of 1 to 5 if they felt they had enough resources and information to succeed in law school/a legal career, 86% answered with a 3 or lower
56% of responders who felt they had a lack of resources towards their future schooling/career reported feeling discouraged from pursuing law school or a legal career.
Accessing The Law hopes to help students like these responders one step at a time. To be notified of the most recent interviews join our emailing list on the Contact page.
